When I was in elementary
school, my Mom always used a
product on my my hair after
shampooing that was called a
creme rinse. This product,
Matrix Essentials Simply Silk
Detangling Rinse is very light
and very similar in texture
and consistency, but with more
up-to-date ingredients to give
hair a healthy shine and
incredibly silky feel. This
product is completely oil
free, so it will not leave
your hair with that dull,
greasy or sticky slickness
that many detangling products
do. The product also contains
silk proteins which are
beneficial to the hair and
help your comb or brush slide
through the hair without
breakage. This product was one
of my all-time favorites to
use for both detangling and
mild conditioning as it left
my hair very soft and silky,
with no weighing down, and has
a clean, fresh non-perfume
scent. I especially liked that
the ends of my hair seemed to
split much less between trims
and my hair appeared very
smooth and frizz-free. A
healthy alternative to most
detanglers!

The girl who trims my hair
used this after my last

visit following my trim and
shampoo.She fully recommended
this as a monthly special for
my hair at least that would
detangle better and not leave
a build-up and would provide
extra protection from

split ends, since I go long
periods without having my hair
cut. The product does seem
to

work well and my hair does not
get that lighter color near
the ends that it had been
getting previously if I miss a
regular trim. It dantangles />
well and conditions it and
leaves my hair very

maneageable, even if I miss a
month using it or miss my
regular maintenance trim. She
said the botanicals were like
vitamins for my hair and
that

the hair shaft itself would be
stronger, the hair less likely
to break or the ends to split
from hard brushing or combing
to remove tangles. I

only use it occasionally but
it is a very nice product.
