As a girl with curly hair living in the mid-Atlantic I know what humidity does to curly hair - FRIZZ! I've tried almost all gels, anti-frizz serums, combinations, etc and NOTHING worked. I went to New Orleans in the middle of the summer (a frizzy head's worst nightmare). After using the Angell, B'LeavIn, I used the Set it Free and my hair looked like I stepped out of the salon all day. I have to admit I used WAY more than I usually use, but it was worth it! For less humid climates, I recommend using less. And when you know you're going to be out all day, this sets your hair and it looks like you originally styled in the morning by the time you're getting into bed later that night!
This product is very light but does its job. I spray it on my curls every day to give them back their definition. When I first tried it, I didn't believe it would work but it does. I'm using almost all the Deva products and plan on eventually getting an appointment at the salon. Deva has really changed how I feel about my curly hair.
Not my everyday go-to product, but on a humid day, or when I don't mind the extra weight, Set It Free is helpful part of the morning routine. So...for curly girls in humid climates, definitely a must have.
