Salt water makes your hair wavy, but you need sea salt water to do it properly. While there are many at-home recipes for sea sat spray, it is said by many people that a manufactured product works best.
Basic instructions:
1.) When hair is damp (not soaking wet), flip your hair upside down.
2.) Spray some Sea Salt Spray into your hair.
Remember: You can always add more, but you can’t take it out. Use small amounts for best effect!
3.) Scrunch/Fluff your hair gently to shape.
4.) Leave hair alone afterwards and let it air-dry for best effects.

Sea Salt waves are simple to achieve and wash out easily.
The best part to Sea Salt Spray is that you can achieve a wavy style without having to spend hours in a beautician’s chair. Sea salt waves are not only easy to create, but easy to wash out as well. Healthy hair goes a long way towards making you look beautiful. However, if you are concerned with the salt making your hair dry, there are preventitive measures you can take to protect your hair. Using a leave-in conditioner before treating your hair with a sea salt spray could be very beneficial, and a great way to prepare your hair for styling!
Leave-in Conditioners are great before swimming in chlorine treated pools or oceans. One leave-in conditioner you might consider is Back to Basics Sunflower Leave-In Spray. With this product, you’ll find that your hair is detangled and conditioned with weightless moisture. This leaves your hair feeling soft, shiny, and manageable. Another great benefit of this product is that it has excellent UV protection, allowing you to spend countless hours in the sun without damaging your hair.
Another good leave-in conditioner to consider is the Joico Leave-In Detangler. This is a basic leave-in conditioner that instantly increases the manageability of your hair. While restoring the moisture balance to your hair, this product will also help to detangle even the most stuborn of tangles!
